Farm Gate Trail
Hawkesbury Farm Gate Trail
Travel along the Farm Gate Trail out through Sydney’s historic “Green Hills”, now known as Sydney Hills, and see, hear and feel a sensory experience you won’t forget. Taste, try and buy straight from the Farm Gate.
Start the day at Hawkesbury Harvest’s Farmer’s Market held every second Saturday of the month at Castle Hill Showground and then wander off along the trail to meet the people who grow our food and to taste, buy and learn. The journey takes you to the Hawkesbury River and beyond through the rich, green farmland, country lanes, and up into the World Heritage area of the Blue Mountains. Visit wineries, orchards, market gardens, arts, crafts, café’s and much, much more. And when you do find yourself with the time to smell the roses, taste the fruits and share a yarn at the farm gate, you’ll also know that you’re making a difference for our farmers as you wind your way along the Trail or around the Market aisles.
